Jonna M. Spilbor is a popular and outspoken attorney, columnist, and legal analyst appearing regularly on the Fox News Channel, the Fox Business Network and other television networks. She is the resident legal expert taking calls (and having fun) every Thursday morning on the number one morning radio show in New York’s Hudson Valley – WPDH, 101.5 FM. In the courtroom, she has handled hundreds of cases as a criminal defense attorney, and prior to that, also served in the San Diego City Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division, and the Office of the United States Attorney in the Drug Task Force and Appellate units. She is currently among the few elite attorneys in the Hudson Valley who is a member of the National College for DUI Defense.
Jonna is a California death penalty scholar whose research has been published in the San Diego Justice Journal. Her work with wayward youth earned her a certification as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in the San Diego Juvenile Court. One year later, Jonna received special recognition by the San Diego bench for her work in the area of Three Strikes defense. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she was also a member of Law Review.

Anthony C. Cillis, Esq. is a Senior Associate with Jonna Spilbor Law and a graduate of Wagner College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He received his Juris Doctorate at Western New England College School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Prior to joining Jonna Spilbor Law, Anthony worked in the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Anthony’s primary area of practice is in Criminal Law where he has represented clients in matters ranging from Assault, Burglary, Driving While Intoxicated, Grand Larceny, Drug and Weapon Possession, Probation and Parole Violations as well as New York’s SAFE Act on both felony and misdemeanor level charges. Anthony represents clients throughout the Hudson Valley including Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Putnam, Sullivan and Westchester counties.
Anthony handles the firm’s Second Amendment cases which include aiding clients applying for concealed weapon carry permits and those facing permit suspension and revocation. Anthony has successfully litigated before the Supreme Court in actions seeking the return of seized firearms from local law enforcement agencies.
Anthony also represents clients on matters ranging from Child Support, Child Custody, Family Offenses, Paternity and Divorce Proceedings while handling client’s Estate Planning needs.
When not in the courtroom, Anthony co-hosts “Law Street with Jonna Spilbor (and Anthony Cillis)” every Tuesday morning on Fox Radio WJGK 103.1FM and Fox Oldies 98.9FM.

Andrew Humphreys, Esq is the Chief Litigation Counsel at Jonna Spilbor Law, LLC. Andrew graduated from Hofstra Law School (now known as Maurice A. Deane School of Law) in 1990. He has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Scranton. Andrew handles all aspects of complex civil litigation from inception to trial, including areas of medical & dental malpractice/catastrophic personal injury/wrongful death & Social Security Disability. Andrew’s experience includes representing doctors, nurses, hospitals & patients in matters of complex litigation involving areas of medical/dental malpractice, as well as personal injury/wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, construction site injury, general/premises liability, insurance coverage issues, corporate contracts & commercial litigation.
Andrew has also represented severely impaired claimants at approximately 110 hearings at SSA ODAR offices from Jericho to Syracuse NY. He has advocated for claimants with complex psychiatric and/or physical disabilities, providing comprehensive preparation for hearings with claimants, analysis & interpretation of medical & psychiatric records, as well as cross examination of medical & vocational witnesses.
Andrew has experience in negotiating & analyzing multi-million dollar contracts, including between a local municipality & cable provider, Verizon.
Joe Buono is an Associate with Jonna Spilbor Law and a graduate of The George Washington University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science, and The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he focused his studies on various aspects of state and federal litigation. Following law school, Joe served as a law clerk at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, D.C., and while there contributed to a variety of projects focused on environmental law issues both in the United States and around the world.
Prior to joining the firm Joe was a solo practitioner based in Dutchess County. In that time, Joe served clients in both the civil and criminal arenas, including Divorce, Custody, Support, Family Offenses, Trusts & Estates, and crimes including Driving While Intoxicated. In addition, Joe served in an of counsel role to a labor union that represents employees of the City of New York in various titles. In that capacity he has represented the union in both state and federal court and provided guidance on the interpretation of state and federal regulations.
Joe is licensed to practice law in New York and Virginia, and is admitted to the bar of the Southern District of New York. Joe’s focus with the Firm is in the areas Divorce, Family Law, Criminal Defense and Estate Planning.
