Jonna Spilbor, Esq. is a popular and outspoken attorney, columnist, and legal analyst appearing regularly on the Fox News Channel, the Fox Business Network, and other television networks. She is the resident legal expert taking questions (and having fun) every Thursday morning on the number one morning radio show in New York’s Hudson Valley-WPDH, 101.5 FM. Jonna also co-hosts the award-winning radio show, “Happy Hour with Jonna & Keryl” which airs weekly on K104.7 FM; a member of the Pamal broadcasting group. Jonna frequently lends her legal voice to other television projects, including the Law and Crime Network, E! Entertainment Television, and Oxygen (appearing on Killer Posts, Killer Couples and other murder mystery docu-dramas).
In addition to her frequent television and radio appearances, Jonna is a former regular contributing columnist for Findlaw’s Writ. Her in-depth legal analysis of celebrity criminal cases has been featured nationally in Variety Magazine, The San Francisco Recorder, Los Angeles Daily Journal, and at CNN.com, among others. She is also the creator of the Jonna Spilbor Law Positively Divorced Empowerment Workshops, a series of informative, fun, and uplifting live seminars designed to empower those who are in the throes of divorce or any of life’s challenges. Her latest endeavor is DivorceBoss.TV, where Jonna speaks to those struggling with divorce-related issues in a way that helps them to “pull their heads out of their butts!” before, during and after divorce.
In the courtroom, Jonna has handled hundreds of cases as a criminal defense attorney. She also previously served in the San Diego City Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division and the Office of the United States Attorney in the Drug Task Force and Appellate units. She is currently among the few elite attorneys in the Hudson Valley who are members of the National College for DUI Defense.
Jonna is a California death penalty scholar whose research has been published in the San Diego Justice Journal. Her work with wayward youth earned her a certification as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate in the San Diego Juvenile Court. One year later, Jonna received special recognition from the San Diego bench for her work in the area of Three Strikes defense. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she was also a member of Law Review.
